If you’re sick, there are tricks you need to use to keep your toothbrush, mouth, and smile in tip-top shape. As you probably already know, your toothbrush hosts the germs from your sickness each time you brush. So, to properly use your toothbrush while you’re sick, our dentist, Dr. Avi Mizrachi, encourages you to do the following things:
-Thoroughly wash your hands before you brush your teeth.
-Run your toothbrush under warm water after you are done using it.
-Place your toothbrush upright in a place where it can dry when you’re done brushing.
-Don’t cover your toothbrush bristles with a toothbrush cover until they are completely dry.
-Don’t share your toothbrush with anyone, not even your family members.
-Use a different tube of toothpaste compared to everyone else in your family.
-Don’t place your toothbrush in the family toothbrush holder.
-Replace your toothbrush after you have recovered from your sickness.
